Euroskills 2021

The Czech representatives were successful in a highly competitive international competition, specifically the Euroskills event that took place in Graz, Austria. Our national representative, David Voráček, a tile-layer, took the 6th position, similarly as Patrik Procházka in the competition of refrigeration and air-conditioning technicians. Tomáš Eichler, representing the Czech Republic in the sector of lorry repairs, took the 5th position, and, finally, David Ryšavý took the 11th position in the field of painting work.

A total of 369 competitors from 25 European countries, in the age group of 17-25 years, competed in over 30 different disciplines at Schwarzl See near Graz, Austria.

„For all the competitors and their professional experts, the most rewarding aspect is undoubtedly the sustained support of their fans, enthusiasm and interest in their discipline, work, and their art. The final day was definitely the culminating point, especially the moment when the competition was closed, accompanied by the applause and congratulations of family members, friends, employers, teachers, and the professional community. This is a memorable moment in life which belongs only to the very best ones in each field and in Europe. This has also been confirmed by the great media interest in this event," summarised Roman Pommer, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce.
