Place of use: Historical replica
RAKO reconstructed the “government” Villa Stiassni, also according to the fragments of the original tiles
Photographs and water-colour paintings by the former house wife, who documented the interiors and exteriors of the building, were important sources of information during the renovation of the Villa Stiassni in Brno - a remarkable monument of interwar architecture. Like in the case of better known Villa Tugendhat, the replicas of ceramic tiles for the so-called government villa were produced by the Czech traditional RAKO brand also thanks to the "bricked-in" fragments of the original tiles, which did not survive to this day.
