A bishop’s mitre is not only a head dress, but on rare occasions, it can also be a ceramic shape that reminds the mitre. This shape was applied in laying approximately 3,000 square meters of RAKO tiles in the new "Sonnwendviertel" area in Vienna. Using a water jet, the shapes of the bishop’s mitre were cut from the TAURUS COLOR RAKO OBJECT tiles series, with the size of 60 x 60 cm. In this manner, the common indoor areas of the educational facility have acquired a unique and original appearance. In addition, the tile shape copies the shape of special school desks designed for comfortable work of pupils and students. The Sonnwendviertel educational facility includes a kindergarten (eleven groups), a people’s art school (17 classes), and a new secondary school (16 classes) for approximately 1,100 children and 200 teachers and school workers. An open concept with the structure of a village, where several classrooms are arranged around a common square, takes into consideration the various demands of young people, and the knowledge of modern education too.
