- Packaging materials (cardboard, foil) are made from recycled/recyclable materials in the ratio of 75 to 100%.
- The design of the packaging is set up to fulfil a protective function during transport and handling, but also to minimise the generation of waste for recycling.
- We honour a responsible approach to recycling the waste of our packaging materials.
- We cooperate with major recycling companies in the individual EU markets, such as EKO-KOM, Envi Pak, Interseroh, and ARA.
ARA Austria - a waste recycling company with expertise in the circular economy, analyses the flows of recyclable materials on the Austrian market and develops recyclable packaging.
Interseroh has been operating in Germany since 1991; it is a pioneer in sustainability. Interseroh is one of the leading service providers in the market.
Envi Pak provides sorted waste collection, recovery, and recycling in Slovakia. It operates on the principle of cooperation among all the entities involved in the waste stream.
EKO-KOM from Czech Republic is engaged in a system of combined collection and recycling of packaging waste. We are strongly aware of our responsibility for the packaging we place on the market and it is a priority for us to ensure that end-of-life packaging is further sorted and subsequently recycled. Through our participation in the EKO-KOM system, we have contributed to the annual operation and servicing of 776 sorted waste containers.
Thanks to LASSELSBERGER's involvement in the EKO-KOM packaging waste sorting and recycling system, the amount of energy saved in 2019 is equivalent to that used by the capital city of Prague for public lighting in 34 days.
