Where to start the spring cleaning in the bathroom? „Degreasing,“ Miroslav Levora, RAKO SYSTEM representative advises.
„It is necessary to wash off the layers of dirt gradually, according to their character, there is no universal cleaner for all the dirt,“ the brand representative says. The brand offers a complete range of cleaning agents. The RAKO SYSTEM cleaners are specially designated to ceramic wall and floor tile surfaces, the only Czech ceramic tiling producer RAKO recommends them.
What else, than the bathroom, where we clean ourselves on a daily basis, should be absolutely clean? Even if we are supposed to keep the bathroom clean all year long, still it is easier for us to cleean in spring time. But often, we do not know what cleaning agent to buy and how to work with it. And so we go to a local drug store and buy the bathroom cleaning agent that smells the best and is in the most colorful bottle. This one, however, does not help us with cleaning very much.
„A bathroom is a specific object, where several characters of pollution combine – apart from the usual dust and dirt, it is the grease, e.g. from creams, scale, mineral sediments and rust, often even mildews,“ Miroslav Levora summes up all types of pollution and adds: „These particular layers of dirt must be cleaned up gradually, according to their character, there is no universal cleanier for all the dirt.“
First step: Degreasing not only in the kitchen
Greasy impurities are quite frequent in the bathroom due to the use of lotions and other cosmetics. Sweat is also greasy. In the first step, use an alcalis cleaner with pH above 7,5 from the RAKO SYSTEM assortment, e.g. RAKO CL 810, with help of which you will get rid of grease. The exact composition of the cleaner is a secret of every producer, but respectable brands state its pH. The information about RAKO SYSTEM agents can be found on the package or the web www.rakosystem.cz.
Extremely powerful RAKO CL 810 against grease
A concentrated cleaner RAKO CL 810 from the RAKO SYSTEM line stands out for its extraordinary power for removing grease, and in addition its biological degradability. It reliably removes grease a cleans not only the wall and floor tiles in the kitchen, but the joints as well. The cleaner dilutes according to the pollution following the instructions.
Basic rule of cleaning
„When cleaning, follow the basic rule – the use of detergents is not about the power of the concentrate, but about the time! Follow the recommended concentration on the package and let the chemical agent work before you start the cleaning,“ Miroslav Levora, RAKO SYSTEM representative reminds.
Second step: Get rid of the scale, mineral sediments and rust
After degreasing use a acid cleaner with pH 2-3, from the RAKO SYSTEM line, e.g. RAKO CL 804. Long-standing sediments of scale are difficult to get rid of, therefore it pays to clean the bathroom on a regular basis with detergents suitable for scale and not to let the scale settle.
„We use alcalic cleaner on grease and acid cleaner on sediments such as scale or rust … Notice that one cleaner actually excludes the other one. Therefore, there can be no universal cleaner,“ Miroslav Levora explains.
RAKO CL 804 beats the scale, in addition it gives shine
The RAKO CL 804 is suitable for cleaning tiles, wash basins, bath tubs, shower enclosure, taps, outter parts of toilets etc. It easily removes stains and scale sediments, includes shine that slows down the staining of the surface and in the long term, it improves the appearance of the polished and chromed surfaces. It coats directly onto the polluted surfaces and need to work for a few minutes. Finally, the surface must be cleaned wit a sponge and rinsed with water. The cleaner is used as a concentrate and is applied with an atomizer.
Third step: Prevention of mildew in joints
The joints are maintained, as well as ceramic wall and floor tiles according to the type of joint pollution. For cleaning use a classic scrubbing brush. Desinfect the joints once in 6 months with any desinfectant, e.g. Savo, which also disposes the mildew, that can appear in poorly ventilated bathrooms and shower enclosures. Coloured joints must be cleaned carefully, not to lose the pigment – we recommend to saturate them with water before the cleaning, so that they do not absorb water with the detergent.
The base of the mildew prevention is a sufficient ventilation and regular cleaning, for example using the cleaner RAKO CL 803. When reconstructing a bathroom, always choose jointing jointing materials with the so called „dry effect“, that means neither water nor impurities stick onto the surface. From the RAKO SYSTEM line, it is e.g. GF DRY.
RAKO CL 803 cleans and polishes
RAKO CL 803 is designed for normal regular cleaning. The cleaner helps effectively clean the surfaces and polish them at the same time. RAKO CL 803 contains very fine and neutral tensides, which effectively remove even resistant impurities. RAKO CL 803 can be even used for plastic surfaces, e.g. window frames. The cleaner is designed for manual cleaning with a mop or a microfibre towel.
